De Shetland Pony's van Stoeterij 'De Molenstede' grazen op de weiden gelegen op de Molenberg te Dilbeek, in het Pajottenland en de Groene Gordel rond Brussel.

Na de uitdoving van de land- en tuinbouwactiviteiten, uitgeoefend door verscheidene generaties voorouders van eigenaar Rene De Graeve, maakten de eerste Shetlanders hun opwachting in 1997.

Inmiddels huizen op de stoeterij een 20-tal hengsten en merries in diverse kleuren en maten. Elk van hen heeft een officiële stamboom.

De Shetland Pony's van Stoeterij 'De Molenstede' zijn regelmatig te bewonderen op de wedstrijden georganiseerd door het Belgisch Studbook van de Shetland Pony. Onze pony's behaalden reeds talrijke ereplaatsen op de Gewestelijke Prijskampen van de provincies Vlaams- en Waals-Brabant en op de Nationale Kampioenschappen.

Onze stal heeft ondertussen zelfs al meerdere Belgische Kampioenen afgeleverd.

Deze topprestaties zijn een mooie stimulans naar de toekomst toe om steeds beter te presteren. Door een strenge selectie van Shetland Pony's met de juiste bloedlijnen en goede lichaamsverhoudingen streven we ernaar om onze stal verder uit te bouwen met dieren van uitstekende kwaliteit.

Op die manier hopen we in de toekomst nog meer mooie wedstrijdresultaten te kunnen behalen.

Wat een aantal jaren geleden begon als een bescheiden hobby, is intussen uitgegroeid tot een echte passie ...

Bienvenue sur le site Web du Haras "De Molenstede"!

Les Poneys Shetland du Haras "De Molenstede" broutent dans les prés du Molenberg à Dilbeek, dans le région du Pajottenland et la Ceinture Verte autour de Bruxelles. Après l'arrêt des activités d'agriculture et d'horticulture, exercés par plusieurs générations d'aïeux du propriétaire Rene De Graeve, les premiers Poneys Shetland sont arrivés dans le courant de l'année 1997.

Actuellement il y a une vingtaine de Poneys Shetland au haras, d'une grande diversité de couleurs et de tailles. Chaque poney a un pedigree officiel.

Les Poneys Shetland du Haras "De Molenstede" participent régulièrement aux concours organisés par le Stud-Book Belge du Poney Shetland. Nos poneys ont déjà obtenu plusieurs places d'honneur à Bertem (Concours Régionaux du Brabant Flamand et du Brabant Wallon) et aux Championnats Nationaux à Gand et à Bruxelles.

Entretemps, notre haras à produit plusieurs Champion(ne)s de Belgique.

Ces exploits ont été pour nous des bons stimulants. Après une sélection sévère de Poneys Shetland bien proportionnés et de sang pur, nous avons étendu notre élevage avec des animaux de haute qualité.

Nous espérons dans l'avenir obtenir encore de meilleurs résultats aux concours.

D'un passe-temps qui a commencé il-y a quelques années modestement, s'est développée une véritable passion ...

Welcome to the website of Stud Farm "De Molenstede"!

The Shetland Ponies of Stud Farm "De Molenstede" graze on the meadows on the mill mount (Molenberg) in Dilbeek, Belgium, in the green belt around Brussels.

The first Shetland Ponies entered those meadows in 1997 at the moment that the agricultural and horticulture activities, exercised by different generations of ancesters of Rene De Graeve, the owner of the stud farm, came to an end.

The stud currently hosts some 20 Shetland Ponies with a large diversity of colours and sizes. Each of them has an official pedigree.

The Shetland Ponies of Stud Farm "De Molenstede" are participating on a regular basis to the different contests organised by the Belgian Stud-Book of the Shetland Pony. Our ponies already obtained several nice results at the different regional contests and at the Belgian Championships.

Our stud farm even produced already several Belgian Champions.

These exploits have been a nice stimulant in view of the further improvement of our future performances. Through a strict selection of Shetland Ponies with good blood lines and the right body proportions, we plan to further develop our stud farm with high quality ponies.

This way, we hope being able to achieve still more nice results at the future contests of the Belgian Studbook.
